FAMILY FUN DAY
A fundraiser for Shontae Denniss who suffers from a rare disorder known as Rett Syndrome will be held at the Young Australian Hotel, August 29 commencing 11am. Throughout the day there will be a multi draw raffle, meat and seafood tray raffle, as well as also having Face Painting for the kids and auctioning off a signed Footbal Jersey. On the day there will also be tickets available to win a BBQ. All proceeds are proudly being donated to assist little Shontae.


Art
“Friends in Art” is a vibrant art and friendship group with members who enjoy experimenting with a wide range of mediums, techniques and ideas. Beginners are welcome. Markets
Library Square Markets are held every second and fourth Saturday  with the next one on Saturday August 28, from 7 am to 12 noon. The markets are growing, with more stalls every time. Come along and buy fresh fruit and vegetables, honey, wine, spices, clothes, jewellery, hand-towels, local art and crafts, and local history selections. More stallholders welcome. Fundraiser
The Queensland Cancer Fund of Gladstone is conducting their annual fundraising trip with a two night stay in Toowoomba for the Carnival of Flowers commencing on  September 18. Owing to cancellations there are still some seats available. Interested persons please phone Andrea 49780376.


Support Group
Ivf Support Group starting  September 3, at 10am, meeting at Womens Health Centre Fridays (fortnightly). All Welcome.  Call Corinna for more information on 49791286
